How to change font on Instagram

Type your name or bio in the font changer above.
Tap Copy on the font you want.
In Instagram, go to Profile → Edit profile.
Paste into Name or Bio and tap Done.

Instagram usernames (the @handle) can't use changed fonts, only letters, numbers, dots and underscores. Instagram Stories have their own font buttons, but pasted fonts work in story text too.

How to change font on WhatsApp

WhatsApp has four built-in text formats you can type directly:

Bold: *text*
Italic: _text_
Strikethrough: ~text~
Monospace: ```text```

For any other font (cursive, gothic, bubble, small caps) change your text here, copy it and paste it into a chat, your status or your About section.

How to change font on TikTok, Facebook and X

None of these have font options for bios or posts. Change the font here, copy it and paste it into your bio, caption, post or comment. Profile name fields on Facebook usually reject changed fonts; TikTok and X display names accept them.

Text font changer vs changing your phone's font

A text font changer only changes the text you copy: other people see the new font too. Changing your phone's system font is different: it changes how everything looks on your phone only, and nobody else sees it.

Samsung: Settings → Display → Font size and style → Font style.
Xiaomi / Redmi: Themes app → Fonts.
Other Android phones: look under Settings → Display or the Themes app (options vary by brand).
iPhone: the system font can't be changed, only its size and boldness (Settings → Display & Brightness).

Font translator and font converter

Some people call this a font translator or font converter: it "translates" normal letters into a different set of Unicode letters. It is not a language translator, the words stay in English, but the effect is the same as switching fonts. A stylish font converter like this works in both directions: to go back from fancy text to plain letters, paste it into the case converter and press Remove fancy fonts.

Font changer tips

Paste, don't retype. Paste a long message into the font changer to convert it all at once.
Choose readable fonts for long text. Bold, italic and small caps are easier to read than gothic or glitch.
Check the dot. Green fonts display on almost every device.

How it works

This tool does not use a font file. It replaces the characters you type with different Unicode characters that already look styled, so the style stays when you paste the text into another app. The conversion runs in your browser as you type.

Every capital letter, small letter and digit you type is swapped for the matching character in this style's alphabet, using a fixed lookup table.
Anything the style has no version of (accented letters, other alphabets, most punctuation) is kept exactly as you typed it.

How the conversion works

The rule is a character-by-character lookup: output = prefix + map(c1) + separator + map(c2) + … + suffix, where map(c) returns the style's character for c, or c itself if there is none. Here is the real lookup for a few characters, with each output character's official Unicode code point and name:

Accuracy and limitations

Compatibility rating: green (works almost everywhere). The rating is our assessment based on how widely the Unicode blocks used are supported, not a guarantee for every device.
Many of these characters are outside Unicode's Basic Multilingual Plane, so most apps and games count each one as 2 characters toward length limits.
Accented letters and letters from other alphabets are not converted.
Search engines, in-app search and screen readers may not read styled characters as normal letters.
The viewer's device draws the characters, so the exact look differs between Android, iPhone and computers.

When should you not use this tool?

Legal names, official forms, IDs and documents. These need plain letters.
Usernames, email addresses, passwords and links. These fields usually reject or mishandle special characters.
Anything that must be found by search or read by a screen reader, such as your main keywords or important instructions.
Long paragraphs. Styled text is harder to read than normal text.

How does this font changer work?

It swaps each letter of your text for a Unicode character that looks like the same letter in a different font. The result is still text, so you can copy and paste it anywhere.

How do I change the font in my Instagram bio?

Instagram does not have font settings for bios. Write your bio here, copy the font you like and paste it into Edit profile → Bio. The same works for your Instagram name.

How do I change the font on WhatsApp?

WhatsApp has built-in formatting: *bold*, _italic_, ~strikethrough~ and ```monospace```. For more fonts, change your text here, copy it and paste it into WhatsApp.

Can this change the font on my whole phone?

No. A font changer for text only changes the text you copy. To change the system font on Android, go to Settings → Display → Font style (the exact path depends on your phone). iPhones do not allow changing the system font.

Can I change the font back to normal?

Yes, just use your original text. If you only have the fancy version, paste it into a plain text box and retype it, as there is no automatic "un-change" for every style.
