The longest sorry message
For when you really messed up, or just want to make them laugh: sorry 10,000 times. The box above holds "Sorry" on 10,000 separate lines, ready to copy and paste.
At 10,000 lines, message limits start to matter. That's why this page starts with plain "Sorry" and no emoji: it is 59,999 characters, short enough for one WhatsApp message. The character count under the box always tells you the exact length before you send.

Counts are in UTF-16 units, the way WhatsApp and most apps measure length: letters count as 1, most emojis as 2, and each line break as 1. WhatsApp's limit is not officially published and may change.
Sending 10,000 lines as a file
Press Download .txt to save the list as a text file named like sorry-10000-times.txt. Share it in WhatsApp as a document, attach it to an email or print it out: a stack of paper covered in sorries makes a memorable apology.
How to send sorry 10,000 times
Keep it short. Plain "Sorry" is ready in the box. Short words keep 10,000 lines inside message limits.
Copy it. Press Copy. The character count under the box shows how long it is.
Paste and send. Paste it into WhatsApp and send. If the app cuts it off, use 5,000 instead.
Or send a file. Press Download .txt and share the file, which has no length limit.
Tips for very long messages
Send it privately: in a group chat it buries everyone else's messages.
On older phones, wait a second after pasting before pressing send.
Instagram and Messenger cut long DMs sooner; use 1,000 there.
Tips
Want an emoji on every line? Use sorry 1000 times, which fits easily even with emojis.
A long list gets attention; a real apology in your own words fixes the problem.
Want to compare this with other looks? The fancy text generator has all 594 styles in one place, and the font generator has fonts grouped by category.
The text repeater copies your text the number of times you choose, with a separator in between, entirely in your browser. A chosen font is applied to the text first (using the same Unicode mappings as the fancy text generator), then the emoji is added after it with a space.
How the conversion works
output = text + (separator + text) × (N − 1), and its length is N × length(text) + (N − 1) × length(separator). With numbering on, each copy gets its number as "1. text", "text 1" or "text 1%", one per line; "Count down" runs the numbers from N to 1. The zigzag layout puts each copy on its own line and indents it by 0, 2, 4 … 12 spaces and back again.
Worked example: text hi, N = 3, separator = space → hi hi hi (8 characters). With numbering: 1. hi, 2. hi, 3. hi on separate lines. With emoji ❤️ and the "text 1%" format: hi ❤️ 1%, hi ❤️ 2%, hi ❤️ 3%.

Accuracy and limitations
N is limited to 10,000, and the result stops at about 500,000 characters to keep your browser responsive.
Apps limit message length, so very long results may be cut off or rejected when you paste them. The character count is in UTF-16 units, the way most apps count.
Some apps trim the spaces at the start of a line, which flattens the zigzag layout.
Fancy fonts only change letters and digits; emojis and other symbols stay as they are.
When should you not use this tool?
Spamming or flooding chats and comments. Platforms block repeated messages, and it annoys the people who receive them.
Why trust this tool?
Built and reviewed by Ale, who owns and maintains the site.
Every output character comes from the official Unicode Standard. See our methodology.
Automated browser tests check the output for fixed inputs: separators, every number format, count down, emoji, fonts, zigzag and the ready-made copy buttons. Read how we test our tools.
Your text is processed in your browser. It is not sent to our server and we do not store it. Favourites, recently copied
styles and your light or dark theme are saved only in your own browser (local storage).
We use Google Analytics to count visits and which styles are copied, never the text itself. Read our privacy policy, including the security section.

Frequently asked questions
Will sorry 10,000 times fit in WhatsApp?
Plain "Sorry" on 10,000 lines is 59,999 characters, just under WhatsApp's limit of about 65,000, so it usually sends as one message. Adding an emoji or longer words pushes it over the limit; then send 5,000, or the .txt file.
Why is there no emoji by default?
An emoji adds about three characters per line, which is 30,000 extra over 10,000 lines. That is too long for one message. Add one if you plan to send the .txt file instead.
Can I write sorry 1 lakh times?
A lakh is 100,000. No chat app accepts that in one message, so this tool stops at 10,000. For a "1 lakh sorry" joke, send the 10,000 file and say it is part 1 of 10.
Why does my phone slow down?
10,000 lines is a lot of text. Copying it is instant, but scrolling the chat afterwards can lag on older phones. That is normal and goes away once you scroll past it.
